Thursday, March 19th, 2026

Séance Listening Room is a concert series firmly rooted in community, featuring some of the best regional and national acts in contemporary Folk & Americana. Great music. Raised spirits.

Destinie Lynn

Destinie Lynn is a multi-talented singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. Her music works within the American roots tradition, or what she affectionately refers to as “porch music” taking influence from the Delta Blues, Indie, Folk, and Americana. Destinie’s voice is a rich, mellifluous tapestry evoking the affecting sensibilities of blues, jazz, and folk singers past, while her lyricism has been described as nuanced and literary-minded. Destinie writes soulful, often haunting songs that dive fearlessly into love, loss, and mortality; songs that highlight the daily struggles of the soul, all of which are featured on her upcoming album, Black Bird, released on February 27th, 2026. Emily Henry

Emily Henry is a DC-based singer-songwriter who writes and performs elegantly emotional indie pop. Known for her powerful yet sweet vocals and authentic musical instinct, she has been compared to artists such as Joni Mitchell and Sylvan Esso. Henry's songs are often inspired by fictional worlds and encompass a wide variety of stories both epic and intimate in scale, and of genres. Her synth-pop album "The New World" was funded by her passionate online fanbase and Henry maintains a strong community connection to her fans by livestreaming her music several times a week. Henry's most recent album, the stripped-down folk-pop "Acoustic Sessions", features a tracklist chosen by the fans. Her song "Blue" was recently featured on the award-winning fiction podcast "Welcome to Night Vale". Henry tours regularly across North America.
