Long bio

Juliana Finch is a Georgia-born, North Carolina-based singer/songwriter with strong Americana roots. With a sultry, soothing voice and carefully crafted lyrics, she earns her spot in a long tradition of storytelling songwriters.

Bittersweet, the fifth full-length album from Finch, was released October 10th, 2023. Produced by Nashville’s Dylan Evers and featuring ACM award-winner Tim Galloway on guitars, Bittersweet is a driving and moody Americana album that showcases Juliana’s wry wit and blues-laden vocals that “sound the way a good bourbon tastes.”

“Halflight”, the debut single off Bittersweet, explores the conscious decision to remain in a relationship despite clear indications that it has run its course. It is an all-too-familiar story in which neither party is the villain, but the narrator settles for what they think they can get rather than risk being alone. Weaving relatable modern heartache with Greek mythology, songwriter Juliana Finch reflects on the inherent hubris of trying to force an ill-fitting relationship into what you want it to be - a light that is “just enough to travel by”.

Juliana has toured nationally, has been featured at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and Pride festivals across the Southeast, and playing iconic venues like Eddie's Attic in Atlanta and The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. Her music has appeared in independent films and twice on the hit surreal fiction podcast Welcome to Night Vale, the latter of which she supported on tour across the Midwest in Fall 2023.
