500 Songs for Kids TONIGHT! - May 6, 2008

I'm playing a song at Smith's Olde Bar tonight for 500 Songs For Kids, an awesome charity event put on by the Songs for Kids Foundation.

500 SONGS FOR KIDS is a 10-day live music marathon running from May 1st to May 10th at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta, Georgia. We will be counting down the 500 GREATEST SING-A-LONG SONGS OF ALL TIME with 500 DIFFERENT ARTISTS. This will be the largest musician involved charity event ever in Georgia, bringing together roughly 1500 individually performing musicians - all for an incredible cause. Songs For Kids Foundation is a non-profit foundation that enriches the lives of children in need through music. We bring musicians year-round to hospitals, special needs kids camps, and all places where kids are in need.

Please come out and have a great time for a great cause!
Doors open at 6:30, my slot is at 8:15pm.
Admission is ten bucks, 100% for the charity!

Record Store Day is Tomorrow! - April 18, 2008

Saturday, April 19th is Record Store Day!

Record Store Day is a chance to celebrate your local independent music retailer. Many stores are having in-store events to celebrate. Please take this opportunity to find an independent record store near you and check them out.

Stores in the Atlanta area that are participating:

Circle Sky Records

Criminal Records

And my personal fave, Decatur CD

Please support these great stores, because they support indie artists like me!

Pandora Radio - April 11, 2008

You can now listen to your very own "Juliana Finch Radio" on Pandora!

Pandora is an internet radio site run by the very cool Music Genome Project. You request an artist or song to be added to your personal radio station and, based on the qualities of those songs/artists, they predict other music you may like and play it for you.

It's like listening to a commercial-free radio station that plays ONLY songs you love! I listen to it at my "day job" and am really excited to be a part of it now.

Check it out at:

Lots of Upcoming Shows! - March 21, 2008

After hibernating for the Winter, I'm really excited to get out there and play some shows again.

I have five shows in the next two months and am especially thrilled to participate in the 500 Songs For Kids benefit.

Check out the "on tour" section for details!

Performer Magazine - November 14, 2007

"How To Take The Fall" is reviewed in this month's Southeast edition of Performer magazine!

You can pick up the (free) magazine at your local Borders and several other music retailers, or check them out online at http://www.performermag.com .

shows! - October 23, 2007

I've got shows the next two weekends.

THIS Saturday, October 27th!
North Georgia is gorgeous in the Fall, so a drive up to Dahlonega would be well worth it! Crimson Moon is a great venue and I'm opening for an awesome blues act, the Nick Edelstein Band.

and...

I can't wait to be back in Tennessee on Friday, November 2nd. I hope some of you can make it out to Acoustic Coffeehouse!

testing, one, two... - September 26, 2007

Ok so this is my first blog entry on the new site! Ta-DA!

I know you're all very impressed.

Let's see...latest news:

I'm getting ready to go up to Boston this weekend to play a friend's house party, which should be fun.

My CD is now available for sale at Decatur CD! You can visit them at http://www.myspace.com/decaturcd.
Tell Warren I sent you.

Keep an eye on the calendar for lots of Fall and Winter shows. I hope to see some of you soon!
